Pakistan has five daily prayer times that are anchored to the position of the sun: Fajr at first light, Zuhr at noon, Asr in the afternoon, Maghrib at sunset, Isha at full night. The exact clock time changes by season because the sun rises and sets at different times in summer and winter.
Way 1, count whole hours, then minutes: From 4:20 morning to 4:20 evening is 12 hours. From 4:20 evening to 6:20 evening is 2 more hours. So 12 plus 2 equals 14 hours and we are at 6:20. Then from 6:20 to 6:50 is 30 minutes more. Total: 14 hours 30 minutes between Fajr and Maghrib.
Way 2, change to one number system: 4:20 in the morning is 4 hours 20 minutes after midnight. 6:50 in the evening is 18 hours 50 minutes after midnight. Subtract: 18 hours 50 minutes minus 4 hours 20 minutes equals 14 hours 30 minutes. Same answer.
Way 3, draw a timeline: Make a long line. Mark midnight, Fajr 4:20, sunrise, Zuhr around noon, Asr around 4:30 evening, and Maghrib at 6:50. Count the gaps between Fajr and Maghrib by groups of hours. Lines on paper make time you can almost touch.
