If your child confuses A with H, look at the slant. A's two diagonal lines meet at a point on top. H's lines are vertical and parallel. Practising both side by side clarifies the difference. Pakistani classrooms often skip the distinction between the name of a letter and the sound of a letter. Both matter; teach both.
