Draw three small even teeth at the top right, going right to left. Each tooth rises and falls back to the baseline before the next one starts. Keep them the same size and the same spacing.

س is the first letter in this set where your child must hold a rhythm: three teeth, then a bowl, all in one continuous motion. The rhythm matters more than the size. If you let them hum a three-beat pattern as they draw the teeth, the shape comes out steady. Pair س with ش soon after, so the dot rule is learned by contrast and not by rote.
س begins سلام, the word your child has heard since the day they were born. When they write it for the first time, they are turning a sound they already own into a shape they now own too.
