Practical exercise
Take one home problem and apply decompose, abstract, pattern, algorithm, debug
This is the capstone for the computational thinking track. You will pick one real problem from your home (water tank running dry, two scooters parked badly, internet slowing every evening, dadi missing her medicine doses), apply all five tools you have built, and write a 200 word reflection that any junior engineer would respect.

Now try it
Take one home problem and apply decompose, abstract, pattern, algorithm, debug
Stretch
Run the same five tool capstone on a different home problem every quarter. After a year you will have four full toolkit packages, which is more applied computational thinking than a typical first year CS student finishes.
Goes into your portfolio
A folder containing the eight step decomposition, three causes from abstraction, seven day pattern tracker photo, algorithm flowchart photo, three day debug log, and the 200 word reflection toolkit-capstone-NN.
