Practical exercise
Back up your photos to Google Drive
If your phone died right now, you would lose every photo on it. The simple fix is to switch on Backup in Google Photos, once, and forget about it forever. Today you will set this up. By tonight, the photos you have taken in the last year will start quietly copying themselves to a building in Singapore, where they will live safely whether or not your phone survives.

Now try it

Stretch
Open WhatsApp Settings. Go to Chats, then Chat Backup. Set Back Up to Google Drive to Weekly. Pick the same Gmail. Toggle Include Videos OFF (videos eat space). Now your WhatsApp family group history is also safe in the cloud.
Goes into your portfolio
Two screenshots, one showing Google Photos Backup is ON with Storage Saver chosen, and one showing one of your phone photos opened from Google Drive on another device.
