Practical exercise

Build a sourced-claim card from one news headline

Today you take one Pakistani news headline and turn it into a small index card. The card has three boxes: the claim, the source you found, and the actual evidence inside that source. By the end you will have a portfolio artifact that any teacher, parent, or interviewer can read in under a minute.

Build a sourced-claim card from one news headline

Stretch

Take a photo of your finished card and send it to one Polymath cohort buddy. Ask them to send theirs back. Compare. Did they pick a different headline? Did they find a different gap? Two cards on the same news day from two students is the start of a real research habit.

Goes into your portfolio

A photographed or scanned index card with: the headline, the claim in your own words, the cited source, the link to the primary source, any gaps you found, and your one-line judgment, signed and dated.
