Conflict without fight: a biraadari style ask, listen, restate, propose
In a Punjabi or Pathan biraadari jirga, the elder does not begin with a verdict. He asks, then listens fully, then restates each side without changing the words, and only then proposes. This is the oldest conflict tool in our culture. You will use it on one disagreement this week with one person, friend, sibling, classmate, vendor at the dukaan. Pick a real one, not a hypothetical.

Now try it
Conflict without fight: a biraadari style ask, listen, restate, propose
Stretch
Hold a second jirga style conversation within ten days, this time on a longer running family disagreement (which cousin's wedding to attend, who pays for ammi's medicine). Same four steps. Note how the structure scales when stakes are higher.

A one page summary titled 'jirga aaj ka', containing the four pieces from step eight, plus a one line verdict at the bottom: did the proposal hold one week later? Yes or no, with one sentence why.
