By the end of today you will know exactly which loan apps live on your phone, which ones have access to your contacts and gallery, and which kind of borrowing you are actually exposed to. We will also write a one page rule for yourself about when you will and will not borrow. The goal is to make the bad option harder and the good option clearer before a hard month forces a panicked decision.

Sit with one cousin or friend who you suspect uses loan apps. Walk them through the same audit. Do not lecture. Just open Settings together and let the permissions list speak. Most users delete the app within ten minutes of seeing what it can read.
