Practical exercise
Track family spending for one week and find the leak
Most Pakistani middle-class families have no idea where their money actually goes. The salary lands, the rent and bills auto-deduct, and by the 25th the wallet is empty without anyone being able to point to the cause. The number one financial skill is not budgeting; it is tracking. For one week, with explicit parental permission, you log every rupee leaving the house from any pocket. The data will surprise everyone, including you.

Now try it
Track family spending for one week and find the leak
Stretch
After two weeks of tracking, build a one page monthly budget proposal for the family using the data: realistic limits per category, a small savings target (even 5 percent of monthly take-home), and a fixed weekly review meeting. Hand it to the parent who manages money. They may say no. The fact that you wrote it changes how they see you.
Goes into your portfolio
Two pages: the week one log photographed in full (or scanned), and the single summary page you presented to the family with pie chart, totals, top five surprise spends, identified leak, and proposal. If you completed the second week, add a third page comparing week one to week two.
