Practical exercise
Rehearse the parent script, out loud, before you use it
The lesson gave you a script. The script will collapse the first time you try it on your real ammi or abba if you have not said the words out loud once. We do this in private, in front of a mirror or to a wall, the way Pakistani actors rehearse before a take. Twenty minutes today. The actual conversation may still go sideways. But it will not go sideways because your tongue forgot how to make the sentences.

Now try it
Rehearse the parent script, out loud, before you use it
Stretch
After the conversation, whatever the result, write four lines in the same notebook from practical one. What I said. What they said. What my body felt. What I will do next, by when. Four lines, no analysis paragraph. The compressed format trains your brain to learn the conversation as data, not as a story to chew on for two months.
Goes into your portfolio
A handwritten one page that has, in order: the script you memorised, the three rehearsed responses, your safety net helpline plan, and the date you chose for the real conversation. Keep this page private. The portfolio entry is just a photo of the page, no contents need to be shared.
