E is the most common letter in English. The lowercase 'e' is built differently from the capital, almost like a backwards 'a' shape. Watch for the start point. Many children begin at the top instead of the middle horizontal line, which makes the loop sloppy. Insist on the correct start point from day one.

E is everywhere in English. Master this shape and you have already met one of every nine letters in any word your child reads.
