Q is the rarest letter in English, and almost always followed by 'u'. In Urdu, the sound 'q' is its own letter, and very common. Pakistani children often already say 'qaaf' from their Urdu lessons, so the sound is easy. The hard part is the shape, especially distinguishing Q from O and 'q' from 'p'. Practise both pairs on the same page. The tail is everything.

A circle with a tail. That is all 'q' is. The same shape as 'o', but with a small line that says: I am different. Let your letters say so too.
