'w' is two 'v' shapes joined together. The English name for it, 'double u', is misleading. The shape is two v's, not two u's. Many Pakistani children flip 'w' upside down into an 'M' because both letters look similar and the brain has not yet locked in the orientation. The fix is consistent starting point. 'w' starts at the top left and ends at the top right. M starts at the bottom left and ends at the bottom right.

Two valleys, two peaks. 'w' is the rhythm of the Salt Range, up and down and up again. Hands learn the shape by walking it.
