This Cookie Policy explains how Polymath uses cookies and similar technologies on the website at polymath.feerasta.ai and in our mobile and progressive web applications.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and pixel tags. We use the term "cookies" in this Policy to cover all of these.
2. Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies for the following purposes:
(a) Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Service to operate. They include:
- session and authentication cookies that keep you signed in;
- a CSRF token cookie that protects against cross-site request forgery;
- a locale-preference cookie that remembers your choice of English or Urdu;
- a tenant or organisation cookie that routes you to the correct school or institutional view.
We do not require your consent for strictly necessary cookies, in line with PDPA-2023 and international practice.
(b) Functional cookies. These remember your preferences (theme, voice playback speed, daily-goal target). You can disable them; some Service features may then be less personalised.
(c) Analytics cookies. We use a small number of first-party analytics cookies to understand which lessons are most used and where children encounter difficulty. Analytics data is aggregated and pseudonymised. We do not share it with third-party advertising networks.
(d) Service-worker storage. Our progressive web app uses a service worker to cache lesson assets, improving performance and enabling offline use. Cached assets are stored on your device and may be cleared by you at any time through your browser settings.
(e) Third-party cookies.
- Authentication: cookies issued by our authentication infrastructure to maintain sessions across our subdomains (polymath.feerasta.ai and api.polymath.feerasta.ai).
- Payment provider cookies: where you initiate a payment, the payment provider may set its own cookies on its checkout page; please refer to the provider's privacy and cookie policies.
We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
3. Your choices
Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Please refer to your browser's help documentation. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Service from working.
Cookie preferences. A cookie preference centre will be added to the Service so you can opt in or out of functional and analytics cookies. Until then, you can email dpo@polymath.feerasta.ai to record your preferences manually.
Do Not Track. We honour the Do Not Track ("DNT") setting where it is sent by your browser. With DNT enabled, we will not enable analytics cookies.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The version published at polymath.feerasta.ai/legal/cookies is the controlling version.
