This Disclaimer is part of the Terms of Service. It describes the limits of what Polymath is, what it is not, and how artificial intelligence is used in the Service.

1. Educational supplement, not a substitute

Polymath is an educational supplement designed to help children develop literacy, numeracy, and AI-foundations skills. It is not a substitute for:

  • accredited classroom instruction by qualified teachers;
  • the National Curriculum of Pakistan as taught in licensed schools;
  • the Pakistan Examination Council ("PEC"), the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education ("FBISE"), or any provincial examination board;
  • professional medical, psychological, speech-and-language, occupational therapy, legal, or financial advice.

Use of Polymath does not by itself guarantee any educational outcome, examination score, admission to any institution, or any other result. Children develop at different rates and respond to different teaching approaches. Parents and guardians remain primarily responsible for their child's overall education and welfare.

2. Curriculum and accreditation

Polymath aligns its content with the National Curriculum of Pakistan and, where relevant, with provincial curriculum authorities such as the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board ("PCTB") and the Punjab Education Curriculum and Training Authority ("PECTAA"). Coverage maps published on our website indicate which Specific Learning Outcomes ("SLOs") and chapters our lessons address.

Polymath is not, as at the date of this Notice, accredited by the Higher Education Commission, the Federal Directorate of Education, or any provincial education department. Where the Service is licensed to a school under a B2B agreement, it serves as a digital learning tool inside the school's existing licensed curriculum, not as a replacement for it.

3. AI-generated content

Portions of the Service rely on artificial intelligence, including:

  • Large language models for lesson generation, tutoring dialogue, and feedback;
  • Automatic speech recognition for reading assessment and voice tutoring;
  • Synthesised voice for narration, mascot speech, and tutor replies;
  • Computer-vision and silhouette algorithms for handwriting tracing.

AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, out-of-date, or otherwise erroneous. We design our prompts, system prompts, content moderation, and safeguarding pipelines to reduce these risks, but we cannot eliminate them.

You and the child:

  • (a) should treat AI output as a starting point, not as final truth;
  • (b) should ask a teacher, parent, or qualified adult for confirmation on anything that matters;
  • (c) should not rely on AI output for medical, psychological, legal, or financial decisions.

We log AI usage and audit it regularly to detect drift, hallucinations, and prompt-injection attempts.

4. Voice agents and recording

Voice features are explicitly opt-in for each child profile. By enabling them, the Account Holder consents to recording, transcription, AI processing, and limited safeguarding review of the child's voice, as detailed in the Children's Privacy & Parental Consent Notice.

Voice features are intended for educational interaction. They are not therapy, not counselling, and not a child help-line. If a child is distressed and needs a person to speak to, the Madadgaar National Helpline 1098 is staffed twenty-four hours a day in Urdu, English, and major regional languages.

5. Safeguarding

Polymath operates an automated safeguarding pipeline that flags voice or text content suggesting distress, abuse, self-harm, or unsafe environments. The flagging is automated and imperfect: it may produce false positives and false negatives. It does not replace professional child-protection services.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (Rescue 1122, the Madadgaar National Helpline 1098, or Punjab Helpline for Children 1121) without delay.

6. Service availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant continuous, error-free operation, freedom from viruses, or compatibility with every device or browser. We carry out scheduled maintenance and may suspend the Service to apply security patches.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may include links to or integrate with third-party services (Daily.co for video, ElevenLabs for synthesised voice, Anthropic and OpenAI for AI inference, Resend for email, Meta WhatsApp Business for messaging, payment processors). Use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their conduct.

8. No professional advice

Information published on the Service, including blog posts, parent guides, and curriculum notes, is for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

9. Compliance with Pakistan law

Polymath is designed and operated to comply with the laws of Pakistan, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, the Punjab Children Welfare Act 2018, the Sindh Child Protection Authority Act 2011, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Free Compulsory Primary and Secondary Education Act 2017, and other applicable laws. Where the Service is accessed from outside Pakistan, additional local laws may also apply, and we will take reasonable steps to comply with them.

10. Force majeure

Polymath is not liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, internet outages, and pandemics.

11. Updates

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The version published at polymath.feerasta.ai/legal/disclaimer is the controlling version. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect.
