Three ways to see it
Forecasting basics. Take three months of your daily or weekly sales by item. Paste into ChatGPT and ask: yeh meri pichhle teen mahine ki sales hai, agle do hafte mein har item ki kitni demand hone ka imkaan hai, mausam aur Eid ka asar bhi soch ke bataao. The AI gives you a rough order list. Treat it as a starting point, not a fixed answer. Your own knowledge of next week's events still matters.
Three patterns to ask about. Seasonal: cold drinks rise in summer, dry fruit in winter. Festival: Eid weeks change everything for two weeks before and one after. Local event: weddings nearby boost mithai and decoration. Tell the AI about these patterns and it does a better job. The more context you share, the better the forecast. Your written notes about last year's events are gold.
Real signals from your own data. Sudden spike in returns of one item. Same customer buying and returning twice in a week. Card payment failing then succeeding with a different card from the same buyer. None of these proves fraud alone, but the combination should raise your hand. Once a month review your data with AI and ask: yeh data dekho, koi ajeeb pattern hai jis pe mujhe nazar rakhni chahiye.

The why-tree
Fraud watch basics. The most common small shop frauds: fake bank call asking for OTP, fake delivery boy taking goods, fake customer paying with a counterfeit note, and chargebacks on card payments. AI does not stop the fraud, but it can teach you the patterns. Ask: mujhe Pakistan mein chhote dukandar ke khilaaf ho rahay top scams batao aur har scam se bachne ke teen amal. Print the answer. Keep at the counter.

Two practical commitments. One: every Saturday spend twenty minutes on AI demand forecast for the next week, treat as a suggestion, write your final order on paper. Two: every first Saturday of the month run the fraud pattern review. After three months these become habits and pay back many times over. The shopkeeper who knows his patterns sleeps better and grows faster.
