Anand Kumar ran Super 30 from Patna, no budget, no infrastructure, no connections — and sent 30 students to IIT every year. We are not Anand Kumar, but his conviction is the architecture this platform is built on.
The Super 30 lineage
In 2002, Anand Kumar began selecting 30 students from Bihar's most economically marginalised families each year and preparing them for the IIT entrance exam free of charge. The cohort model, the intensity, the refusal to treat poverty as a permanent disqualification — those are not features we borrowed for branding. They are the structural commitments of this platform. We note clearly: Anand Kumar does not endorse Polymath. "Inspired by" is not "approved by."
Four things we will not compromise on
Thinking over memorising
Every concept lesson teaches at least two ways. The tutor does not give one-answer explanations. Credentials require defended reasoning, not completion.
Cohort over isolation
Learners enroll in named groups of 20 to 30 peers on a shared 12-week schedule. Helping a peer is recognised like completion. AI answers wait 6 hours so peers answer first.
Outcome over completion
We measure what learners earn, not what they finish. Portfolio tracks build a public record. The Polymath Fellows programme runs each year.
Dignity over deficit
Voice rules forbid "easy", "basic", "obvious", reflexive praise. The tutor treats every misunderstanding as serious engagement, not a gap to close.
In February 2026 the Higher Education Commission mandated a 3-credit AI course in every undergraduate degree across all 262 universities, beginning Fall 2026. In July 2025 the federal cabinet approved a National AI Policy committing to one million AI-trained professionals by 2030. No local platform existed that could credibly deliver on either target.
We built Polymath to be that platform. The conviction is simple: if AI literacy can work in Pakistan, with intermittent internet, bilingual instruction, and classrooms that range from elite private schools to village madrassahs, it can work anywhere.

How we think about regulation
We are a content provider. Schools and universities are the regulated entities. Pakistan does not regulate ed-tech content providers as a category, and we do not pretend otherwise. We map our content to the National Curriculum of Pakistan and to the HEC AI Foundations directive. We publish those mappings. We do not claim accreditation we do not have. When NAVTTC institute accreditation lands in Year 2, we will say so plainly. Until then, our credentials are private certificates of completion, exactly the same legal posture as Coursera or Udemy.
