Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited and required conduct on the Polymath platform. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Breach of this AUP may result in account suspension, termination, and, where appropriate, referral to law-enforcement authorities under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 ("PECA") and other applicable laws.

1. Who this applies to

This AUP applies to all users of the Service: account holders, parents, guardians, children, school administrators, teachers, mentors, donors, partners, and any other person who interacts with the Service.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Service to engage in, encourage, or facilitate any of the following:

(a) Unlawful content or conduct

• Conduct prohibited by PECA 2016, the Pakistan Penal Code 1860, the Punjab Children Welfare Act 2018, the Sindh Child Protection Authority Act 2011, or any other applicable Pakistan or international law.
• Posting, transmitting, or storing content that is defamatory, libellous, slanderous, or violates the right of privacy of any person.
• Posting blasphemous content, content that incites sectarian hatred, or content that promotes violence.
• Posting obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit content; any such content depicting or implicating minors will be reported to the relevant authorities without exception.
• Posting content that breaches the Copyright Ordinance 1962 or the Trade Marks Ordinance 2001.

(b) Harassment, abuse, and discrimination

• Bullying, harassing, threatening, or intimidating any other user, including teachers, mentors, peers, or staff.
• Discrimination on the basis of religion, sect, ethnicity, gender, disability, or socio-economic background.

(c) Misuse of the AI tutor and voice features

• Attempting to use the Tutor Agent, Reading Coach, or other AI features to generate content unrelated to learning, including political speech, religious doctrine, romance, or commercial advertisements.
• Attempting to bypass safety filters or coax the AI into producing prohibited content.
• Sharing AI-generated content from the Service in a manner that misrepresents it as professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

(d) Security and integrity

• Attempting to access another user's account or data, including by guessing, phishing, or social engineering.
• Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service, except under a written bug-bounty engagement.
• Distributing malware, ransomware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Using automated agents, bots, scrapers, or scraping APIs to extract content without prior written consent.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service.

(e) Commercial misuse

• Reselling, sub-licensing, or commercially exploiting the Service or its content without a written reseller or partnership agreement.
• Using the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages or advertisements.

(f) Impersonation and fraud

• Impersonating any person, including a child, parent, teacher, or Polymath staff.
• Misrepresenting your affiliation with any institution, school, donor, or government body.
• Creating duplicate accounts to evade enforcement actions.

(g) Privacy violations

• Collecting or harvesting personal data of other users without their consent.
• Recording, screenshotting, or transmitting another user's voice or image without their consent.

3. Content takedown and grievance process

If you believe content on the Service violates this AUP, applicable law, or your rights:

1. Send a written notice to grievance@polymath.feerasta.ai describing the content (include a link or screenshot), the basis for your complaint, and your contact information.
2. Polymath will acknowledge receipt within forty-eight (48) hours.
3. We will investigate the complaint and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the content. Where the complaint is unfounded, we will explain our decision.
4. Decisions are subject to appeal in writing within fourteen (14) days.

This process is in addition to any rights you may have under PECA 2016, the PTA Removal and Blocking of Unlawful Online Content Rules 2021, or any other applicable law.

4. Cooperation with authorities

We will cooperate with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the Federal Investigation Agency, the courts, and other competent authorities, including by removing content, providing information, and preserving records, where required by law and on the basis of a lawful order.

We will resist requests that exceed lawful authority or that are inconsistent with users' fundamental rights, and we will, where lawful and practicable, notify affected users.

5. Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

• (a) issue a warning;
• (b) remove or restrict offending content;
• (c) suspend or terminate the offending account;
• (d) refer the matter to relevant authorities;
• (e) seek civil or criminal remedies, including damages, injunctions, and prosecution under PECA 2016.

The relevant action will be proportionate to the severity of the breach. Repeated or serious breaches will result in permanent account termination.

6. Reporting illegal content

If you become aware of illegal content on the Service, including content depicting child sexual abuse or imminent threats of harm, please report it immediately to:

• Federal Investigation Agency Cyber Crime Wing (helpline 1991, https://nr3c.gov.pk/)
• Local police, in case of emergency.

7. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our website and notified to registered users by email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect.
